Thrive Project Managers (PMs) are the backbone of all creative projects. Alongside Client Strategy, PMs lead engagements and partner with strategists, designers, and other teams to complete work efficiently and on budget. To do this well, applicants will need an entrepreneurial spirit, intellectual curiosity, and a bias towards action. Along the way, you’ll develop new skills and have opportunities to offer up strategic thinking as you evolve.

Thrive Creative is looking for a seasoned Sr. Project Manager to take ownership over the ways projects are managed and executed. We’re looking for a motivated, organized, and experienced individual who can work autonomously from project kick-off to completion and who isn’t afraid to put their stamp on this role.

As an integral part of the project-management team, the Sr. PM is responsible for providing day-to-day tactical support in the management of all activities with internal teams, agency clients, and external partners for the assigned work. The position ensures all assigned tasks are delivered on time and on budget, and according to internal processes and industry best practices.


Partner with client teams and strategists to translate Client requests into project plans, timelines, scopes of work, and resourcing needs

Kick off projects internally with multiple creative team members and be prepared to answer questions regarding timing, goals, deliverables, and assets

Prepare and own all project timelines and project plans across multiple workstreams

Manage project-related subcontractors

Track and manage internal team hours using agency time-tracking tool, and manage all out-of-pocket expenses in collaboration with Chief Strategist

Keep detailed statuses of project timelines, project deliverables, and overall team bandwidth

Remain in constant communication with Chief Strategist and Project Coordinators outside of weekly meetings

Involve team at the optimal levels for project success and overall account utilization

Lead and organize daily/weekly internal status meetings, keeping the documents up to date for internal team awareness

Manage and maintain internal meetings and internal meeting notes

Manage and maintain deliverable scopes, plans, versions, and feedback

Be an operational partner to all internal disciplines assigned to projects, and specifically involved in the management of Creative teams

Work with team to initiate new projects and procedures within the agency

Manage all project workflows

Participate in internal project budget meetings

Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and course-correct independently and proactively

Ensure quality control of all projects

Contribute to the development and enforcement of new, efficient processes

Bring new ideas and industry best practices recommendations for senior management’s consideration

Manage and mentor junior team of 1-3 Project Coordinators (where applicable)

Interface with clients regularly to ensure they are appropriately informed on projects at all times


Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the creative process and integrated project-management processes within an agency setting—including projects related to brand strategy, web design, and digital marketing

A deep understanding of an integrated deliverable set and overall project ecosystem when it comes to creative and/or overarching brand and/or campaign work within the digital marketing space

Effective planning, organization, and time-management skills and analysis/assessment capabilities

Demonstrate capacity to understand dynamics of multi-discipline teams and resolve team-related issues that could impact deliverables

Prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and deliver quality results

Demonstrate core Project Management skills in organization, facilitation, attention to detail, negotiation, interpersonal skills, and communication in keeping team members up to date on status of projects, and scheduling meetings

Participate in/lead cross-agency teams

Uphold quality- control standards, ensuring milestone sign- off from cross-agency departments as well as general circulation of approval from team members during routing cycle

Champion all company processes and initiatives, including advocating and executing them, as well as assisting in ongoing process improvement

Passionate about the discipline, the team, and the company

Exceptional organizational skills and good presentation skills

A strong work ethic that includes an entrepreneurial “get the job done” attitude

Bachelor’s degree

4-7 years of PM experience in an integrated creative agency or relevant environment
